DWC Posts Supplemental Adjustment to Official Medical Fee Schedule for Pathology and Clinical Laboratory

The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) issued an order on March 30, 2021, adjusting the Pathology and Clinical Laboratory section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) to conform to 2021 Quarter 2 changes in the Medicare payment system as required by Labor Code section 5307.1. Thereafter, on April 13, 2021, Medicare adopted a revised 2021 Quarter 2 Clinical Laboratory file. The revised file changes the data for only one code, Proprietary Laboratory Analysis code 0242U, for a specified type of targeted genomic sequence analysis panel.

DWC has issued an order adopting the revised file “21CLABQ2 (updated 04/13/2021)” effective for services on or after April 1, 2021. The Administrative Director’s previous update order dated March 30, 2021 remains effective, except for the adoption of the revised file to modify the aforementioned one specified code.
