Office of the Director
Office of the Director staff:
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of the department's divisions, boards, and commissions;
- Collaborate with policymakers and community leaders to improve working conditions and employment relations throughout California;
- Communicate with interested parties, the media, and the public.

Office of the Director - Research
The Office of the Director - Research conducts research and prepares and maintains databases on alternative workweek programs, the California Consumer Price Index, occupational injuries & illnesses, and public works projects.
Office of Legislative Affairs (OLA)
The Office of Legislative Affairs (OLA) coordinates legislative activities and advises the Director on proposed legislation. OLA serves as the primary liaison between the Department and the state legislature, as well as federal, local, and state agencies and handles all legislative inquiries.

The Labor Enforcement Task Force combats the underground economy in California to create an environment where legitimate businesses can thrive.
