Advanced Manufacturing IACA Subcommittee

California Apprenticeship Council Join us for our next meeting

Welcome!
The Interagency Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship (IACA) for Advanced Manufacturing seeks to provide support to develop and grow registered apprenticeships for the more than 35,000 manufacturing companies in the State of California.  The subcommittee is made up of employers, educators, non-profits, labor management partnerships and workforce development professionals working to address barriers and create economic pathways through apprenticeship, especially for disadvantaged populations.
California has seen significant increases in new apprentices registered in Advanced Manufacturing occupations such as:

  • Industrial Manufacturing Technician
  • Electronic Assembler
  • CNC Machine Operator
  • Robotics Technician
  • Marine Technician
  • Aviation/Aerospace Technician
  • Semiconductor Process Technician

If you are interested in learning more about registered apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing or wish to highlight the work of your program, please contact us or attend one of our IACA meetings.

Message from our chair: Registered Apprenticeship is the most effective way for employers to identify and develop talent for their workforce.  It is also a proven system for gaining the skills needed by today’s companies. The Advanced Manufacturing Subcommittee for the Inter-Agency Committee on Apprenticeship operates to support the efforts of the apprenticeship community to grow effective apprenticeship programs that will lead to meaningful occupations and create economic mobility for all.  We cannot do this task without you. I invite you to attend and participate in the subcommittee. All meetings are open to the public, and we provide an opportunity to anyone to contribute and share their ideas and vision for how we can make apprenticeship happen. Apprenticeships require Partnership.  Become a partner with us today, and let’s work together to insure the growth and sustainability of this important and impactful program.
