The Labor Commissioner’s Office is implementing new procedures for scheduling exams to be taken on or after June 1, 2026, administered by CPS HR Consulting. For more information, please refer to our website under Test Taking Information.

Schedule appointment: After you receive approval from DLSE to schedule your exam, you will receive communication from CPS HR Consulting with instructions on how to schedule your exam through Pearson Vue.  Eligible applicants should receive communication regarding scheduling within 1-2 business days of receiving your eligibility notice from DLSE. If you do not receive this communication from CPS HR Consulting within 1-2 business days, please contact CPS HR Consulting directly at ecuexams@cpshr.us or 855-298-4917. 

Internet Scheduling

You may schedule your test online, 24 hours a day. Eligible candidates will receive an Authorization to Test email from PearsonVUEConfirmation@e.pearson.com with instructions on how to create an online account and how to schedule an exam appointment. All candidates must create a Pearson VUE web account, username, and password to schedule an examination.

Telephone Scheduling

Once you have received your Authorization to Test (ATT) email from Pearson Vue and created an online account, you may call to schedule your exam appointment at 866-302-9666.  Customer service is available by phone Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. CT; closed on local holidays.

The "Candidate Information Bulletin," is an additional information guide for testing.

Testing: Take the exam on the day you have been scheduled. Be sure to bring proper identification, otherwise you will not be allowed to take the exam.

Proper identification:

Driver's License and/or State-issued Identification card - Name must match U.S. Drivers License or State Identification card on your application form.
