Petitioners request the Board to amend Title 8, General Industry Safety Orders, Section 5357, regarding snow avalanche blasting, to allow remote control deployment of avalanche charges (explosives) also known as Remote Avalanche Control Systems (RACS). RACS is a method that involves the tethering to and remote release of explosives from the tramway cable.
