Standards Board Public Records Requests
Making Presentations Before the Board
Any member of the public may request to present to the Board on topics relevant to occupational safety and health issues. The request to present must include issue(s) being addressed, summary of presentation, and any technology and software needs. Requests to present to the Board must be submitted by email to OSHSB@dir.ca.gov at least 21 days prior to the Board meeting. Any request received after 21 days will be scheduled at the next Board meeting or a later meeting determined by Board staff.
Final presentation materials must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. the Friday prior to the Board Meeting via email at OSHSB@dir.ca.gov.
Presentation Guidelines
- Presentation length must not exceed fifteen (15) minutes
- Requests for time extensions must be submitted with the request.
- Summarize and expand on slide content.
- Board members have received and read all content prior to the meeting.
- Reading slides word for word is unnecessary.
- Be prepared for Board Members or staff to interrupt your presentation with questions or comments.
- The Board Chair may limit presentation length at the Board meeting.
Presentation materials submitted to the Board are subject to the Public Records Act.
