Petitioner requests to amend and update the Title 8, Construction Safety Orders (CSO), Article 14, Construction Hoists standards currently derived from ANSI/ASSE A10.4-1973 Safety Requirements for Personnel Hoists to address specific issues covered within ANSI/ASSE A10.4-2016 Safety Requirements for Personnel Hoists and Employee Elevators on Construction and Demolition Sites that include, but are not limited to: fall protection, overhead protection, counterweighting and car top railings.
