Description
This committee will discuss proposed amendments to existing sections in various articles in title 8, California Code of Regulations, Construction Safety Orders related to Fall Protection in order to be as effective as title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations section 1926.500 Fall Protection.
On July 12, 2024, Federal OSHA submitted a letter to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board requesting that items not as least as effective (ALAE) as the Federal OSHA standard be addressed in an expeditious manner to avoid reaching an adverse ALAE determination with respect to the California State Plan.
