HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND SAFETY TRAINING

The Professional Development Center's Hazardous Materials and Safety Training Program is one of the most complete and detailed hazardous materials training programs offered in the United States for companies who work with hazardous materials.

  • Hazardous Waste Minimization, Recycling, and Future Trends (SB-14)
  • Control and Reporting Air Toxic Substances (South Coast AQMD Rules)
  • Hazmat Emergency Planning
  • Fire Prevention
  • Storm Water Discharge and Pollution Prevention Plans
  • Self-Inspection Procedures
  • Personal Protection and Safety
  • Injury and Illness Prevention
  • Regulations and requirements of Proposition 65
  • CAL/OSHA Requirement and Compliance Issues

At the end of training, participants will receive a Certificate Completion from Glendale Community College and the City of Glendale Environmental Management Center.

COURSE STRUCTURE:
A 16-week course consisting of the following:

  • One 4 1/2 - hour class per week at the Environmental Management Center in Glendale
  • One 8-hour Saturday field trip
  • One workplace implementation assignment per week.
