Important Notice Regarding the Publication of the California Consumer Price Index
The California Consumer Price Index published by the Department of Industrial Relations is a weighted average of the regional indexes published by the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The California Consumer Price Indexes for All Urban Consumers and for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers are published for even numbered months (e.g. February, April, June, etc.) and the next publication has been delayed due to the delayed release of the Consumer Price Index by BLS. (https://www.bls.gov/bls/092025-cpi-reschedule-notice.htm). Updates to the California Consumer Price Indexes will start again after the federal government resumes operations.
In addition, adjustments to the minimum pay rates for certain computer software employees who are exempt from overtime requirements pursuant to California Labor Code section 515.5, and certain licensed physicians and surgeons who are exempt from overtime requirements pursuant to California Labor Code section 515.6, will also be delayed and will start again after the federal government resumes operations.
