DWC Posts Adjustments to Official Medical Fee Schedule (DMEPOS)

The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has posted an order adjusting the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule to conform to the Quarter 3, 2023, change in the Medicare payment system as required by Labor Code section 5307.1.

The order adopts the Medicare Quarter 3 updated rural ZIP code file for services on or after July 1, 2023. There were no Medicare Quarter 3 changes to the DMEPOS file or the parenteral/enteral nutrition (PEN) file; therefore, the Quarter 2 DMEPOS file and the annual PEN file update remain in effect.
