DWC Announces Free CME Credits for Online Learning Using Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule (MTUS)-American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Guidelines
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) is announcing a new Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit program that lets physicians and other healthcare professionals earn free CME credits via Internet Point of Care (IPoC) learning.
IPoC learning is a certified CME activity in which a physician or other healthcare professional engages in self-directed, online learning on topics relevant to their clinical practice by researching in California Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule (MTUS)-American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) guidelines.
Interested parties can research a self-identified clinical question on the MTUS-ACOEM//MDGuidelines website, and then submit a request for your CME credit through ACOEM’s IPoC portal. Complete instructions are on the ACOEM website.
Credit for searches previously conducted and completed in the MTUS-ACOEM Guidelines is available starting from January 1, 2022.
