DWC Posts Additional Adjustments to Official Medical Fee Schedule (Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies)
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has posted an order adjusting the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) to conform to relevant 2021 changes in the Medicare payment system as required by Labor Code section 5307.1.
The order is the second Administrative Director order for the April 2021 quarterly update to the DMEPOS section of the fee schedule. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued a revised 2021 second quarter DMEPOS file dated March 30, 2021. The revised file supersedes the original file for services rendered on or after April 1, 2021. CMS indicates that the “Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies” document is revised, but the “Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition” and “Rural ZIP Code” documents have not been changed from the original second quarter release.
The Administrative Director’s update order dated April 2, 2021 adopting the OMFS adjustment can be found on DWC’s DMEPOS fee schedule web page.
