The Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation’s School Action for Safety and Health (SASH) Program Offers Webinar for School Employees on Managing Stress and Building Resilience

OAKLAND — The Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation (CHSWC) is pleased to announce a School Action for Safety and Health (SASH) online program, “Managing Stress and Building Resilience among School Employees” on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 12 p.m. The webinar will help school employees learn about the effects of increased stress from the COVID-19 pandemic and to choose healthy responses.

The webinar will be led by Michele Mariscal, who has 30 years’ experience in the health and wellness field. The event is free. Registration is required. A recording will also be available shortly after the live event.

This webinar is made possible thanks to the School Action for Safety and Health (SASH) Program administered by CHSWC in the California Department of Industrial Relations through an interagency agreement with the Labor Occupational Health Program at the University of California, Berkeley. SASH is a resource to promote safe and healthy workplaces for California’s school employees, including raising awareness for the requirement to have an effective written Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) plan with procedures and training as is required of all employers in California.
