Special notice for labor compliance programs (LCPs) operating under initial approval by the director of industrial relations

Further extension of initial approval of labor compliance program

As of Sept. 29, 2004, initial approval to operate a labor compliance program (LCP) pursuant to 8 CCR §16426 is extended from Oct. 1, 2004 to Apr. 1, 2005. Consideration of any application for final approval pursuant to 8 CCR §16427 remains suspended pending the adoption of revised regulations governing the approval of LCPs, or until further notice is given that the director will resume consideration of applications for final approval under the existing regulations.

The extension of initial approval, as granted by this notice, is subject to revocation for any reason that would constitute cause for revocation of final approval under 8 CCR §16428.

Please note that the revised regulations are presently under final review by the Office of Administrative Law. The final text of the proposed revisions and other related documents are available for review and downloading at http://www.dir.ca.gov/OD_pub/LCPRegs.htm.
