Draft Section 5199.1, Operations involving animals infected with zoonotic aerosol transmissible pathogens

Below is the draft language regarding exposures to animals that may harbor pathogens that can be transmitted to humans by an aerosol route. This section is tentatively number 5199.1. This draft incorporates many suggestions from the May, 2006 advisory meetings, as well as discussions with state agencies and many individuals and groups particularly in the context of preparing for avian flu. This is not a rulemaking proposal.
