WCIS California FROI/SROI version 3.1

As announced in WCIS eNews 133, the California EDI Implementation Guide for First and Subsequent Reports of Injury (FROI/SROI), version 3.1, is scheduled to go live on March 27, 2018.

Under the FROI/SROI version 3.1 requirements, the file transfer mode will be switching from FTPS (FTP/SSL) to SFTP (SSH FTP). All FROI/SROI trading partners are required to send a FROI/SROI version 3.1 trading partner profile form to their WCIS trading partner contact. The WCIS will begin SFTP connectivity on February 15, 2018 and will continue testing with partners until March 27, 2018.

The last day WCIS will receive FROI/SROI files based on the California version 3.0 requirements will be 12:00 pm on March 23, 2018. During the transition period between March 23 and March 27, 2018, the WCIS will not accept new FROI/SROI files and will only send acknowledgements for FROI/SROI files received prior to 12:00 pm on March 23, 2018. On March 27, 2018, the WCIS will begin accepting FROI/SROI files based on the version 3.1 requirements. Any FROI/SROI files sent after 12:00 pm on March 23, 2018 which follow the version 3.0 requirements will need to be resent under the new requirements on March 27, 2018.
