To provide inspections in a timely manner and to grant, through transparency, accountability that enables accuracy and supports ethical work practices in order to ensure the safety of the riding public and to protect the workers in the elevator industry.
The Elevator Safety Orders generally do not apply to elevators in single-unit
private homes.
