The DLSE Public Works Compliance Monitoring Unit (CMU) is hiring staff using the civil service process established for state employment. The CMU uses the following entry level classifications: Deputy Labor Commissioner I, Auditor I, Senior Special Investigator, Industrial Relations Counsel, Industrial Relations Representative, Office Technician and Office Assistant. If you are interested in employment with the CMU, you must first gain entrance to a civil service examination for which you qualify, successfully compete in the examination process and be placed on a hiring list. Hiring interviews for positions will take place as positions are established throughout the State. If you have indicated that you are willing to accept a position in a particular geographic area, you may be contacted for an interview.
