Notice - Agenda

Pursuant to Government Code section 11125.4, on September 14, 2021, the California Apprenticeship Council (CAC) adopted by unanimous vote the following finding:

Two lawsuits have been filed against the CAC. Motions for preliminary injunction have been filed in both cases and the CAC's responses are due by this coming Friday, September 17. Holding a meeting to discuss the pending litigation, including the CAC's responses to the preliminary injunction motions, on 10 days' notice would cause a substantial hardship because the CAC would not have an opportunity to make decisions about its responses to the motions before they are due.

Pursuant to Government Code section 11125.4, on October 22, 2021, the California Apprenticeship Council (CAC) adopted by a unanimous vote the following finding: The California Apprenticeship Council finds; as two lawsuits have been filed against the CAC. The CAC must confer with legal counsel to discuss litigation strategies and make litigation decisions with respect to these lawsuits. Because the CAC must make certain significant decisions within an extremely short timeframe, holding a meeting to discuss the pending litigation on 10 days’ notice would impose a substantial hardship.
