Certified Payroll Reporting
DIR's electronic certified payroll reporting (eCPR) system
Contractors and subcontractors on most public works projects are now required to furnish certified payroll records (CPRs) to the Labor Commissioner, using DIR's new electronic certified payroll reporting (eCPR) system. Enforcement of this requirement is currently on hold while we simplify and upgrade that system. If possible, DIR strongly encourages contractors and subcontractors to continue using the system while upgrades are in progress.
Searching for Payroll Records on the eCPR System
Using the eCPR searchable database, the public may view and print out fully redacted eCPRs submitted via the eCPR system.
Archived CPRs submitted in PDF format for CMU projects between April of 2013 and April of 2015 can be requested by contacting eCPR@dir.ca.gov.
DIR's electronic certified payroll reporting (eCPR)
There are limited categories of public works projects that are exempt from eCPR requirements and use different payroll reporting methods.
