Wage and Benefit Survey

The Department of Industrial Relations received a petition to review the rates for the craft of Drywall Finisher in San Diego County from the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council 36. The Department determined that an investigation to update the prevailing wage determinations is warranted. Consistent with the Director of Industrial Relations’ responsibility to determine the general rate of per diem wages to be paid to workers employed on public works projects, the Department is conducting a survey of drywall finishing work in San Diego County during the 12 month period from May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024.
If you are an entity that performs drywall finishing and you have performed work in San Diego County during the period of May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024, we are collecting information through a Wage and Benefit questionnaire which will assist us in determining the prevailing wage rate for the craft of Drywall Finisher.
If you performed work that matches the above description and would like to receive a copy of the survey questionnaire, then please provide your employer name and mailing address to the Office of the Director – Research Unit at pwsurvey@dir.ca.gov. Upon receipt of this information, we will mail you a copy of the questionnaire.
Please complete and return the questionnaire to the Office of the Director – Research Unit no later than June 30, 2024. Please be advised that the information you provide will be used for statistical purposes only and will be kept confidential to the fullest extent permitted by law.
