DWC Adds reCAPTCHA to its Public Information Case Search Tool
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) today announced that it has added the reCAPTCHA widget (Google Licensed Version) to its public information case search tool to protect its systems from ongoing bot attacks.
Should stakeholders have difficulty accessing the public information case search tool, it is recommended that they not use Microsoft Edge in IE Explorer Mode (currently required to access e-form filing) but instead use Chrome, Firefox, Safari or another browser option. Parties should also check with their IT administrators to make sure settings aren’t being flagged as bots.
DWC will make further improvements to its public search functionality as the division continues to evaluate its overall systems and accessibility. DWC also plans to add reCAPTCHA to the external EAMS login page in 2025.
If any member of the public needs additional assistance with DWC’s public information case search function, please contact the EAMS Help Desk at EAMSHELPDESK@dir.ca.gov or by calling 1-888-771-3267 (select option #4). You may also email questions to eforms@dir.ca.gov.
