SUBJECT: Billing for Elevator Permit Inspections

The Division has begun to bill all Governmental Agencies for the permit inspections of elevators as of September 1, 1996. Realizing the budget problems being faced by the School Districts of California, the Division will postpone the implementation of this policy for schools districts until the new fiscal year begins on July 1, 1997. This will allow all districts to budget for their inspections.
