Consejo de Comida Rápida
El 28 de septiembre de 2023, el gobernador Newsom promulgó la Ley AB 1228, la legislación de la industria de restaurantes de comida rápida que aumenta la tasa de salario mínimo por hora para ciertos trabajadores de comida rápida a $ 20 a partir del 1 de abril de 2024. Asimismo, la legislación establece un Consejo de Comida Rápida dentro del Departamento de Relaciones Industriales para establecer un sueldo mínimo por hora para los empleados de restaurantes de comida rápida y desarrollar normas, reglas y regulaciones para la industria de la comida rápida.
