§5617. Buildings.


(a) Rooms in which flammable or combustible liquids are stored or handled by pumps, shall have exit facilities arranged to prevent occupants being trapped in the event of fire.
(b) Rooms in which Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100oF (37.8oC) are stored or handled shall be heated only by means not constituting a source of ignition, such as steam or hot water. Rooms containing heating appliances involving sources of ignition shall be located and arranged to prevent entry of flammable vapors.
