§2940.5. Work Over or Near Water.


(a) When work is performed over or near water and when danger of drowning exists, suitable protection shall be provided as required by Section 3389 of the General Industry Safety Orders or Section 1602 of the Construction Safety Orders.
(b) An employee may cross streams or other bodies of water only if a safe means of passage, such as a bridge, is provided.
