Article 10.1. Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment for Fire Fighters
(a) Foot protection shall be provided to and worn by fire fighters while engaged in structural and proximity fire fighting activity.
(b) The use of foot protection shall be coordinated with the wearing of the protective clothing system to ensure full body protection.
(c) In-service foot protection shall meet the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1971, Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting, 2007 Edition, which is hereby incorporated by reference.
