§4412. Conveyors.


(a) In addition to the requirements of Section 3999, chip, hog fuel or other conveyors not attended by an operator shall have an emergency stop cable extending the length of the conveyor.
EXCEPTION: Those conveyors which are fully enclosed and pose no hazard to employees.
(b) Signs. When conveyors cross walkways or roadways in the yards, the employer must erect signs reading “Danger -Overhead Conveyor” or an equivalent warning, in accordance with USAS Z35.1-1968 or ANSI Z535.2-2011, which are incorporated by reference.
