§9789.13.1. Supplies.
(a) Separate payment for routinely bundled supplies is not allowed.
(b) See section 9789.13.2 regarding payment for physician-administered drugs/biological/vaccines/blood products.
(c) Splints and casting supplies are payable separately in addition to payment for the procedure for applying the splint or cast, performed in a physician's office. See section 9789.19 for the splint and cast HCPCS codes and maximum payment amounts, by date of service. For services on or after April 1, 2014, maximum fees for splints and casting supplies are determined by the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, Supplies fee schedule.
