Subchapter 6.2. Permanent Amusement Ride Safety Orders
Article 2. Requirements, Other Than Recordkeeping and Transfer of Information,
Applicable to All Permanent Amusement Rides
§3195.4. General Design and Manufacture.
New Permanent Amusement Rides. No new permanent amusement ride shall be opened
to the public unless it has been designed and manufactured in conformance with
the specifications of ASTM F 1159-02 and ASTM F 1193-97.
Exception: A new permanent amusement ride may be open to the public if it conforms
with the design standards set forth in other generally accepted standards, e.g.,
DIN or TUV Standards provided that the owner or operator can demonstrate that
such compliance ensures patron safety comparable to that provided by compliance
with ASTM F 1159-02 and ASTM F 1193-97.
