In accordance with Labor Code Sections 1173, 1176.3,1178, and, 1178.5, the Industrial Welfare Commission ("IWC") will hold a public meeting on March 11, 2002, in San Francisco at the Hiram Johnson Building, Auditorium, 455 Golden Gate Avenue, commencing at 10:00 a.m.
PUBLIC MEETING AGENDA
1. Approval of Minutes for the public meetings held October 29, 2001, December 7, 2001 and January 25, 2002.
2. If Available, consideration of proposed amendments to Wage Order 1-2001 to modify Section 11 in order to permit a meal period to commence after six hours of work instead of five.
3. Consideration of a petition requesting the Industrial Welfare Commission conduct a review to raise and index the minimum wage in California.
4. Closed session pursuant to Government Code section 11126(e) to discuss pending litigation in Cal. Labor Federation, et al. v. Industrial Welfare Comm., San Francisco Superior Court No. 500547. Any new business that may come before the IWC.
