IMPORTANT NOTICE TO AWARDING BODIES AND ALL INTERESTED PARTIES REGARDING A CORRECTION TO THE DIRECTOR’S GENERAL PREVAILING WAGE DETERMINATIONS
Dear Public Official/Other Interested Parties:
- CRAFT: Apprentice Plumber
- CLASSIFICATION: Apprentice Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) (All Shifts)
- LOCALITIES: All localities within Inyo, Kern, and Mono Counties
- DETERMINATIONS: 2020-2 and 2021-1
The Dues Check Off amounts published for the abovementioned determinations are incorrect. The correct amounts should be Period 1: $1.35, Periods 2-5: $1.85.
With the exception of the above correction, all of the wage rates and other conditions found in the above referenced prevailing wage determinations remain unchanged.
GENERAL PREVAILING WAGE APPRENTICE RATES
Apprentice Prevailing Wage Rates are paid only to apprentices registered with the State of California, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, for work the registered apprentice performs in his/her specific craft or trade. You may check whether an Apprentice is registered at the Division of Apprenticeship Standards Website (https://www.dir.ca.gov/DAS/appcertpw/AppCertSearch.asp)

Basic Hourly Rate: Includes an amount withheld for Dues Check Off that is not factored into overtime and an amount for Vacation which is factored at 1.5 times for all overtime.
Dues Check Off: Period 1: $1.25, Period 2-5: $1.75
Vacation: Period 1: $1.76, Period 2: $2.06, Period 3: $2.36, Period 4: $2.65, Period 5: $2.95.
Pension: Includes amounts for National Pension and for X-mas Fund.
Vacation/Holiday: Included in basic hourly rate and factored at 1.5 for all overtime.
Other: Includes amounts for PIPE, CED and for LMCC.
**Journeyman and Apprentice Predetermined Increases:
09-01-2021: $2.76 to be allocated to wages and/or fringes.
09-01-2022: $2.39 to be allocated to wages and/or fringes.
09-01-2023: $2.35 to be allocated to wages and/or fringes.
09-01-2024: $2.50 to be allocated to wages and/or fringes.
09-01-2025: $2.50 to be allocated to wages and/or fringes.
