CERTIFICATE PROGRAM OFFERED THROUGH EXTENDED EDUCATION:

WORKERS' COMPENSATION LAW

This 2-course Certificate in Workers' Compensation Law has two tracks:

a) Workers' Compensation Law for Attorney Assistants; or
b) Workers' Compensation Law for Managers

To earn either certificate, a student must pass the Introductory class as well as the appropriate Advanced course. Both Certificates are designed to help the novice and the professional learn the basic components of the law as well as current practices in California's ever changing workers' compensation system. This program was designed to give the student a solid overview of the law and how it affects employees and their employers in the Introductory class. The two advanced courses cover specifics as they relate to either the practice of law or how a manager would work within the legislation.

The courses are beneficial to safety managers, business owners, paralegals, attorneys, doctors, human resource managers, government agencies and others who must deal with this complicated body of legislation.
