PROPOSED RULEMAKING SCHEDULED FOR UPCOMING PUBLIC HEARINGS

Pursuant to Government Code Section 11346.4 and the provisions of Labor Code Sections 142.1, 142.2, and 142.3, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board has set the time and place for a Public Hearing. At the Public Hearing, the Board will consider public testimony on the proposed changes noticed below to occupational safety and health regulations in Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations.

NOTICE OF REGULATIONS APPROVED

After proceedings held in accordance with and pursuant to authority vested in Sections 142, 142.3 and 142.4 of the Labor Code to implement, interpret, or make specific, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board, by a majority vote, adopted additions, revisions or deletions to the California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Chapter 4, as follows:

1. Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 7, General Industry Safety Orders, Article 1, Section 3207, and Article 4, Section 3270.1, Rope Access.

Heard at the April 13, 2000, Public Hearing; adopted on July 20, 2000; filed with the Secretary of State on August 4, 2000; and will become effective on September 3, 2000.

2. Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 7, General Industry Safety Orders, Article 96, Section 4966(a)(1), Erection and Dismantling of a Tower Cranes.

Heard at the May 11, 2000, Public Hearing; adopted on July 20, 2000; filed with the Secretary of State on August 21, 2000; and will become effective on September 20, 2000.
