PROPOSED RULEMAKING SCHEDULED FOR UPCOMING PUBLIC HEARINGS

NOTICE OF REGULATIONS APPROVED

After proceedings held in accordance with and pursuant to authority vested in Sections 142, 142.3 and 142.4 of the Labor Code to implement, interpret, or make specific, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board, by a majority vote, adopted additions, revisions or deletions to the California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Chapter 4, as follows:

  1. Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 7, General Safety Orders, Articles 5 and 6, Sections 3281, 3284, 3285, 3286, 3287, 3291, 3293, and Appendix C to Article 6, Personal Fall Protection for Window Cleaning Operations and Building Maintenance using Powered Platforms and equipment.
  2. Heard at the November 18, 1999, Public Hearing; adopted on February 17, 2000; filed with the Secretary of State on March 31, 2000; and became effective on April 30, 2000.

  3. Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 6, Elevator Safety Orders, Sections 3065, 3067, and 3106.1, Plunger Engaging Safety Devices and Monitoring Oil Levels.
  4. Heard at the June 17, 1999, Public Hearing; adopted on November 18, 1999; filed with the Secretary of State on April 13, 2000; and will become effective on May 13, 2000.

  5. Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 4, Construction Safety Orders, Section 1512(b), Emergency Medical Services, First Aid.

Heard at the October 21, 1999, Public Hearing; adopted on March 16, 2000; filed with the Secretary of State on April 13, 2000; and will become effective on May 13, 2000.
