B. PROPOSED PETITION DECISIONS FOR ADOPTION
1. Michael D. Wang, Western States Petroleum Association, (Petition No. 400)Petitioner requested the Board to amend Petroleum Safety Orders, to update the standards to reflect recent changes in the following national consensus standards: American Petroleum Institute (API), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
ACTIONS TAKEN: Adopted by unanimous vote.
2. Nicolas Garcia, (Petition No. 401) Petitioner requested the Board to make recommended revisions to the Construction Safety Orders (CSO), Section 1712 with regard to the use of personal protective equipment to protect employees who handle reinforcing steel bar (rebar) and other similar materials.
ACTIONS TAKEN: Adopted by unanimous vote.
3. Jim Turner, (Petition No. 402) Petitioner requested the Board amend Elevator Safety Orders (ESO) Administrative Regulations where ASME A17.1-1996 is incorporated by reference.
