PROPOSED RULEMAKING SCHEDULED FOR UPCOMING PUBLIC HEARINGS

Pursuant to Government Code Section 11346.4 and the provisions of Labor Code Sections 142.1, 142.2, and 142.3, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board has set the time and place for a Public Hearing.  At the Public Hearing, the Board will consider public testimony on the proposed changes noticed below to occupational safety and health regulations in Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations.

Title 8; Chapter 3.5; Subchapter 1; Administrative Regulations; Articles 1 and 2; Sections 403, 404, 405.1, 407-407.3, 411, 411.1, 411.2, 412.2, 418 and 420; Variances From Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Appeals From Temporary Variance Decisions.

Heard at the October 17, 2002, Public Hearing; adopted on November 21, 2002; filed with the Secretary of State on January 9, 2003; and will become effective on February 8, 2003.

2. Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 2, Boiler and Fired Pressure Vessel Safety Orders, Article 4, Section 769, Boiler Installation.
Heard at the July 18, 2002, Public Hearing; adopted on November 21, 2002; filed with the Secretary of State on January 9, 2003; and will become effective on February 8, 2003.
3. Title 8, Chapter 4, Subchapter 4, Construction Safety Orders, Article 14, Sections 1604.5(c)(3) and 1604.6(a), Construction Hoistway Doors and Door Locking Devices.
