Summary of Marin Storage and Trucking - Decision After Reconsideration
Employer used a crane with outriggers extended 100% on the lift side and 50% on the other side to lift a load the crane could have lifted without outriggers per the load chart. The Division cited Employer under section 4994(a) because a crane must properly bear on its outriggers. Held: the Division failed to prove that the extending the outriggers to different lengths caused the crane not to bear properly on them. Employers appeal was granted.
