A tank holding 30,000 gallons of scalding water burst and injured an employee. A serious violation of section 3328(g) [failure to maintain in a safe condition] was upheld. The tank burst due to the rusting and corroding of a wall over time. Employer made no effective periodic inspections or maintenance and could have detected the unsafe conditions by exercising reasonable diligence.
