The California Department of Industrial Relations Biennial Report for 2000-2001 outlines the department's work as we fulfill the mission defined for us in the California Labor Code: to promote and foster the economic prosperity and safety and health of the state's workplaces. Its contents include information about our activities in enforcing labor and workplace safety and health laws and administering the state's workers' compensation system, among other activities.
