In accordance with Labor Code Sections 1173, 1178 and 1178.5, the Industrial
Welfare Commission ("IWC") will hold a public meeting on Friday February
21, 2003. This public meeting will be held in Sacramento at the State Capitol,
Senate Room 4203 commencing at 10:00 a.m.
PUBLIC MEETING AGENDA
1. Appointment of members to the wage board established to consider modifications to Wage Order 5 (regulating the wages, hours, and working conditions of employees in the public housekeeping industry) regarding employees who have direct responsibility for the elderly, and adults with disabilities, receiving twenty-four hour care.
2. Consideration of the Charge to the wage board established to consider modifications to wage order 5 regarding employees who have direct responsibility for the elderly, and adults with disabilities, receiving twenty-four hour care.
3. Consideration of a "Request for Reconsideration of Petition to Raise the Minimum Wage" filed by the California Labor Federation.
3. Any new business that may come before the IWC.
