NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
of the
INDUSTRIAL WELFARE COMMISSION

October 23, 2000
Sacramento

In accordance with Labor Code Sections 1173, 1178.5 and 1182, the Industrial Welfare Commission ("IWC") will hold a public meeting on October 23, 2000 to consider promulgating regulations for new wage orders. The meeting will be in Sacramento, at the State Capitol, Room 4202, commencing at 10:00 a.m.

AGENDA

1. Consideration and/or adoption of regulations regarding occupations in the construction, drilling, logging and mining industries in light of the public hearings on proposed regulations previously put forward for public comment.

2. Consideration and/or adoption of regulations regarding the minimum wage in light of the public hearings on proposed regulations previously put forward for public comment.

3. Any further business that may come before the commission.

In order for the IWC to provide an opportunity for interested parties to speak at the public hearings, the amount of time within which each speaker will be allowed to address the IWC may be limited. Accordingly, the public is urged to submit written statements to the IWC concerning items on the agenda.
