Industry code - DN 25
As detailed in WCIS eNews 50 and 56 (http://www.dir.ca.gov/DWC/WCISenews/WCISearch.htm),
the WCIS is now validating the FROI industry code - DN 25. Unfortunately,
there was an error in the implementation of the new edits which caused some
initial industry codes to be accepted with error (TE) even though the codes
were valid. These TE errors may be ignored. We have corrected the problem
and apologize for any confusion it has caused.
Per the IAIABC Release 1 specifications, DN 25 must be sent as the four digit
1987 Sstandard industrial classification (SIC) Code, with the letters "SC"
in the last two positions or as the six digit 2002 north american industry
classification system (NAICS) Code. Four digit codes without the "SC"
suffix will not be accepted as there is no way to differentiate between a
four digit SIC and a four digit NAICS codes. The Industry Code is a Conditional/Serious
data element and is required when it is known by the claim administrator.
A list of valid industry codes can be found at the U.S. Census Bureau Website
(http://www.census.gov/epcd/naics02).
