Division of Workers’ Compensation will take e-filing offline Dec. 31-Jan. 1
The Division of Workers’ Compensation will take its JET File and e-form filing software offline at 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31 until noon on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013. When service resumes, filers will see some changes to the website.
Beginning on Jan. 1, portions of Senate Bill 863 will become law and require changes in DWC’s website. SB 863’s lien filing fee regulations establish a $150 filing fee for liens related to medical expenses that are filed on and after Jan. 1, 2013. There will also be a $100 “activation” filing fee for existing liens that concern medical expenses. These fees will be payable only electronically and the JET File and e-form software will be changed to enable these transactions.
Due to these changes, electronic submissions completed on Dec. 31 before 5 p.m. will not be updated on the public information search tool until Jan. 2, 2013.
Also, because of a recent increase in the volume of electronic submissions, filers may experience a delay in the processing of their transactions. DWC regrets any inconvenience this may cause.
If you have submitted an electronic file and have not received an acknowledgement that your submission was processed, please be patient. We regret any inconvenience. The filing volume has increased the amount of time needed for a return receipt. Please do not attempt to re-file or submit the same filing in a different format (such as OCR forms) as this would result in duplication and additional delays.
