Division of Workers’ Compensation to host electronic filing expo at Van Nuys district office Oct. 6
The Division of Workers’ Compensation, in conjunction with its vendor partners and Van Nuys district office, will host an electronic filing expo on Thursday, Oct. 6. The event is free and anyone interested in e-filing is encouraged to attend.
Electronic filing is the fastest way to get documents into EAMS, DWC’s electronic case management system for the workers’ compensation courts. There are now two ways to file electronically: e-forms and JET File, making it easier and more convenient for filers. JET File is for large-volume filers, while e-forms are better for small to medium filers. The Oct. 6 expo will provide information about, and demonstrations of, both filing methods.
Filers looking for faster, easier and more cost-effective alternatives to paper forms are encouraged to attend this electronic filing expo:

10 a.m.-noon (morning session)
1-3 p.m. (afternoon session)

No registration is necessary. Filers can drop in any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The program will repeat throughout the day. There will be an hour lunch break from noon until 1 p.m.
“Electronic filing is the way of the future, and now is the time to join,” said Mark Fudem, acting associate chief judge for EAMS. “The expo will make it easy for filers to see their options and sign up to take advantage of e-filing.”
