Division of Workers' Compensation announces physician fee schedule stakeholder meeting
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has scheduled a stakeholder meeting to discuss the issues related to drafting regulations regarding the physician fee schedule. The meeting will be held:

The division has previously posted two proposed drafts of the physician fee schedule on its forum and thanks the public for the input it received. The comments have raised certain issues that the division would appreciate discussing further, specifically:
- Should the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) evaluation and management documentation guidelines be adopted in accordance with the CMS approach?
- Should there be a single conversion factor or a triple conversion factor?
- Are the Medicare ground rules that are in the proposed rule appropriate for California workers’ compensation?
- Are there suggestions for additional/different ground rules that should be adopted?
