The Division of Workers’ Compensation now accepting applications for

Qualified Medical Evaluator examination

Applications are now being accepted for the Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) examination. The deadline for filing applications is March 12, 2009. The examination will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009.

QME’s are independent physicians certified by the DWC medical unit to evaluate the medical needs of injured workers. Applications for the QME exam may be downloaded from the DWC Website at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/medicalunit/exampacket.pdf.  Interested applicants may also contact the medical unit at (510) 286-3700 extension 7 for general information and to request an application via U.S. mail or fax.
