Division of Workers' Compensation San Diego office will be closed Oct. 24 due to local wild fires
The Division of Workers’ Compensation closed its San Diego office today due to problems resulting from local fires. The office will remain closed on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
All workers compensation cases set to be heard before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) on Wednesday, Oct. 24 will be rescheduled. Injured workers, their representatives and others with business at the San Diego district office may call the division’s Information Service Center at (619) 767-2083 or 1-800-736-7401 for updates on the office closure.
The closure results from unhealthy air conditions in the area and a request by local authorities to keep all non-emergency personnel off the roads to ease the traffic burden on emergency teams fighting fires and handling other crises.
