Welcome to WCIS e.News

Greetings. You will soon receive via e-mail the first WCISe.News. Each WCIS e.News will provide new information about California's Workers' Compensation Information System (WCIS).

The WCIS e.News will include:

The WCIS e.News will not change existing regulatory requirements; it will simply provide additional detail - when necessary - about the implementation of these requirements. As the WCIS matures, some system details will inevitably be modified to meet trading partners' needs and requests. The WCIS e.News will alert readers to these modifications.

The subject of each technical update will eventually be reflected in existing WCIS documentation: the California EDI Implementation Guide, the Frequently Asked Questions posted on our Web site (www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/wcis.htm), or other documents. The WCIS e.News will simply provide the quickest route of informing you of coming changes, so you can incorporate the information into your planning as soon as possible. You may want to set up a folder in your e-mail application so you can file the WCIS e.News and refer back to them as necessary.

Each WCIS e.News will cover only one subject. If you don't need information on this subject, simply delete the whole e-mail.

You have been included in this e-mail distribution because our records show that you may have an interest in the ongoing development of the WCIS. Instructions for getting yourself removed from the distribution list are included below, and will be attached to every WCIS e.News. Of course, you are welcome to forward any WCIS e.News to others, and others are welcome to subscribe by following the directions below.
